2010 Winner of the Miss USA pageant whom later this month got her first taste of scandal when some racy photos leaked from a Michigan radio stations minutes after her win.
The photos show Fakih in some sort of Strip 101 type of contest that was allegedly done for promotional types of reasons to raise money for a non profit that the radio station was promoting.
Donald Trump, who owns the pageant, has come out and said that he didn’t see anything wrong w/ the pictures and will not be removing the Miss USA 2010 title from Fakih.
The prizes she won included jewelry, gift cards, adult toys, and her own home stripper pole, but this gift set is nothing compared to salary ,New York City apartment, a crown whith precious stones and other benefit Faqih received when she became the first Arab-American Miss USA on Sunday evening. You know the more and more I cruise the internet and read on all the blogs and websites wring out their two cents on the pole dancing industry, the more I’ve felt the need to make this post.
You can quickly distinguish the newbie pole dancing blogs from the seasoned, the liberal writers from the more reserved. You see the difference in tone and attitude, depending on whom your talking with.
Recently I returned a phone call that had been taken in the early morning hours when the shop had not opened yet. Although the individual calling hadn’t left a message, yet the record showed that someone called. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and attempt to return the call.
When the other line picked up it was answered by: “Hello, Cheesecake Factory”. Oh boy.
Now I know the deal with people and pole dancing. They’re either for it or not. And you never know until you test the waters on the phone. Unfortunately in this case, you could here the woman on the other end of the line turning red as soon as it mentioned that we were returning a call from a pole dancing company.
“God no! No one here would be calling you at 8 in the morning for pole dancing, how dare you….there must be something wrong w/ your phone system”.
That’s right my dear. Our phone system is apparently not in full working order, it doesn’t take calls, record where they’re coming from, voicemail never works….but we keep doing biz w/ them.
C’mon!!!! What I’ve realized is there is the haters and then the lovers. But one thing is for certain: Every time a new pole dancing website, blog, company, Oprah, whomever….every time they want to mention pole dancing is for fitness.
Has everyone been living under a rock for the past few years. Has it not donned on anyone that pole dance fitness studios are opening everywhere, you friends have taken classes, Oprah has brought it up 8 times! And still many haven’t figured out that it isn’t stripping?
Let’s come up to speed folks. Pole dancing IS great for fitness and good for you both physically and mentally. Stripping is not the same. Just ask any of your pole dancing beginner class attending friends if they had to show a nipple the last time they trained.

Hurray! Miss USA 2010 was an award winning pole dancer?
Not quite folks.
As many in the pole dancing world will tell you is that pole dancing is a hell of a lot different to stripping and/or strippers.
Your girl, Rima Fakih, Miss USA 2010 was NOT a pole dance champion. She was the CONTESTANT Winner of a radio station spoof put on by Mojo in the Morning radio show in 2007 in which it was called “Stripper 101”.
Fakih entered a contest on a radio station back in 2007 where she was surrounded by girls in lingerie, all for which was a stripper competition not necessarily a pole dancing, or the art of, competition.
It’s a shame that the people nor the media wants to spell it out for all the morons out there that pole dancers are NOT Strippers. Bottom Line.
Just because you enter into a stripper contest and win does not make you a champion winning pole dancer.
For gods sake. Try not to be an idiot.

The Australian hard rock group “Airbourne” and All Star Stages teamed up w/ IPDFC winner Alethea Austin to shoot the bands new music video during a 17 hour shoot last Wednesday.
Shot on an airplane, Austin, who’s a terrific pole dancer had to do the death lay on the ceiling of the airplane.
The project was set to shoot last week sometime, until there were scheduling conflicts that arose when the volcano that erupted sent ash into the sky and the band could not get to Los Angeles cause of flights being canceled.
When all was said and done the production was off the hook, everyone is pleased and Alethea Austin had a chance to jump on the best portable pole dance apparatus ever created by All Star Stages™.
Unfortunately though, the production called for a shorter pole than All Star Stages prefers to send out, since the project took place in an airplane.
