Wow! Bachelor parties are renting stripper poles in breaking numbers?
This was the original title of this post written by a former employee around June of 2013 and for whatever reason the original article has suddenly crawled up through the cracks with Google, as many of you are giving it a bit of direct attention.
After all these years it’s popping up as our number one post of late, so it’s only appropriate that we do an update on the current state of the party world and where stripper poles plays in to that story.
Come along for the ride as we dig deep and take a look at the last decade of bachelor party pole rentals and where it headed into the next ten years.
The Tea ~
In Aug of 2013, bachelor parties who rented stripper poles reached a peak. Finding data that supports this interest is difficult due to the size of the niche.
What we did was dig deep into the interwebs, looked at trends and info graphs and pulled Google data using surrounding keywords to see any similarities between poles and bachelor parties.
We also wanted to know if there has been any continuity between the two and how that looks going forward.
Back in 2010 pole dancing in the Olympics was all the hot talk through the community. All Star Stages wrote about it, a few times.
After the market crash of 2008 the world had shut down for a minute.. still, bachelor parties continued.
A few things have changed for the reservation process for service. I’d highly recommend you read this article, updated for 2020, on renting a stripper pole for private events that have not hired a professional event coordinator. Here you will find the Top 10 Do’s and Dont’s ~
So if you’re interested in services, you can get that ball rolling and save some time by filling out this form on this page with all the information of your upcoming event.

Let’s Dive Into The Data
We used Google trend data from January of 2010 to Jan 10, 2020 and looked up ‘stripper pole bachelor parties’.
Unfortunately data on “stripper pole bachelor party” is virtually non-existent due to super low search volume.
So that’s not gonna work for the purposes of updating this article.
Instead, we chose ‘bachelor party’ as a search keyword and compared it with the ‘stripper pole’ keyword.
We’ve also added to the comparison the phrase ‘stripper poles’ in plural, just to see the gathered data for that search term.
And this shows us the intended interest over time between multiple poles or just a single pole.
Again, this tells us whether the majority of the population is interested in one dance pole or more than one dance pole for their event.
From the data here it suggests many of you are only looking for one dance pole overall and that makes us sad.
Let’s look at these swings in the blue line in the graph. These refer to the summer months where we see an uptrend every year, versus in the November and December months annually. The interest in bachelor parties goes down. Of course most of us could assume that’s due to holiday season.
Look at the up or down-swings in the stripper pole trend on the graph. Stripper poles actually see a slight uptick during the winter and holiday months.
Noted from the data above, stripper poles over ten years show an overall down-grade in interest noted in the green line, except for a few poignant moments since 2010 that show major spikes in interest noted in the arrows. The green arrow suggests an uptick from a low in stripper poles. Only a couple instances suggest correlation between poles and bachelor parties in orange.
We’re still in the winter months as this post was updated in Mar of 2020.
As we creep out of the cold and get in to spring and summer, we should see a little spike in overall interest in bachelor party action.
Also worth noting is that any spike in stripper poles, of the 5 that visually stick out, none of them were ever during the annual downtrend of bachelor parties interest during the holiday season.
When we add bachelorette party to the graph, holy smokes! ~ Bachelorette parties are double the search behavior of “bachelor party”.
For additional refrerence, we’re gonna to add other related areas like ‘go-go dance’ as you see below ~
Go-go dance has it’s place on the chart. It’s coorelation is eh. Since the article is about poles and bach parties, i wanted to throw in go-go dance, yet I’d like to remove it for the purposes of the article to compare more relative things.
It’s entirely possible that bachelor parties would be seeking out go-go dancers, although if you look at the graph and try to identify any cadence or continuity between — there is a hard arguement. So for the sake of the article, we will remove it.
Mechanical bull search behavior over the last decade is pretty consistent with stripper poles.
Constantly neck and neck, especially these days (there’s a hint to write an article about bulls & poles y’all ~), but never really breaking out except for about 2 months before the spike in both stripper poles and bachelor party’s in July/Aug of 2013.
Important to note: September 20, 2013 American rock band Kings of Leon released their sixth studio album titled: “Mechanical Bull” that went on to receive a nomination at the 56th Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album.
To get us to understand that “state” of the union here, let’s also take a look at all the different types of parties that the party-peeps out there are searching for. This allows us a take the temperature on society at large over the last decade.
And clearly house party still holds its reign lol ~
Landslide victory.
There is no doubt an arguable correlation between themed parties and bachelorette parties. Not only by season but I’m sure if we really drilled down into the core of it all, we would find that themed parties and bachelorette parties have a symbiotic relationship and correlation.
And finally when it comes to all this data, let’s take a look at the last ten years when we graph “house party”, “bachelor party”, “theme party”, “stripper pole”, and “bachelorette party”.
No doubt there is a correlation between themed-out parties when you’re getting married ~
In conclusion, bachelor parties have not seen a major decrease in interest over the last decade. Although it hasn’t spiked and is sensing an overall downtrend, it’s fair to say, that even in a market recession or hiccup, bachelor parties and poles are here to stay with the only option being supply & demand increasing and demand trending upward.
If you’ve made it to the end, we appreciate you spending your time with us.
