Epic Pole Dance Fail Video on Huffington Post

If you saw the 32 Pole Dancing Fails video that has went viral and circulated major sites such as the Huffington Post, then you may have seen that the All Star Stages Pink Delight Portable Dance Pole was one of the apparatus’ that made it on to the film.

Now to be fair, there was nothing wrong w/ the All Star Stages unit, nor was it installed incorrectly. It was simply a slip from the young dancer who had taken to the stage in 2009 at the AVN Adult Film Convention at the Sands Expo in January.

Fyre TV was heading the event. There were two All Star Stages portable dance poles and stages on the main stage at the expo. Both All Star units housed 5×5 ft. octagon stages w/ 12.5 ft tall ceiling free dance poles. The poles were 50mm dance sizes.

The young lady was upside down on the pole at the 1:30 minute mark of the video.

Within a couple of seconds she happened to not only tumble over having lost her “footing” but continued off of the All Star Stage right onto the sound and lighting guys just off to the left.

Fortunately for both the dancer and the sound / lighting guy, everyone was okay. Nor was any of the equipment damaged during the show.

Also if you notice it is the only video that sports the All Star Stages logo (the older version of the logo) right as she tumbles off.

We were aware of the mishap in 2009 and it was interesting to see 5 yrs later the All Star Stages dance pole made a cameo appearance in the 32 Pole Dance Fails viral video.

Fast Forward to 1:30 minute mark to see the fail.

Pole Dancing Robots at ceBIT in Germany

)

Attack of the robots!

But these aren’t available for stripper pole rentals in Los Angeles or renting a stripper pole in NYC or Miami. Although that would be awesome and we would love to entertain that idea at the next production party or live event.

Fortunately the metal hip swirlin’ mother boards and computer chips were on display at the ceBIT conference in Germany.

German developer Tobit Software brought along its programmable pole dancing robots to liven up its booth at the CeBIT trade fair in Hanover on Monday.

Designed by British artist, Giles Walker, the robot dancers can be controlled with a smartphone app that allows users to change their position and the colour of their internal lighting.

Many work on their stretching, many pole dancers work on their warmups. But what to do during the “cooling down” period after a pole dancing workout or routine?

As with any sport and activity/exercise, there is a way to play and a way not to. Such as it is w/ running: You don’t stop from running 10 miles and go lay on the couch–no no. You have to cool down. And ever so is that true with pole dancing exercise.

Our friends over at Candy and Chrome have put together a great post on the cooling down method after pole dancing as well as some important facts you may need to know to protect yourself from any injury.

More and More Realize Pole Dancing IS Fitness

Pole dancing in Ibiza

You know the more and more I cruise the internet and read on all the blogs and websites wring out their two cents on the pole dancing industry, the more I’ve felt the need to make this post.

You can quickly distinguish the newbie pole dancing blogs from the seasoned, the liberal writers from the more reserved. You see the difference in tone and attitude, depending on whom your talking with.

Recently I returned a phone call that had been taken in the early morning hours when the shop had not opened yet. Although the individual calling hadn’t left a message, yet the record showed that someone called. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and attempt to return the call.

When the other line picked up it was answered by: “Hello, Cheesecake Factory”. Oh boy.

Now I know the deal with people and pole dancing. They’re either for it or not. And you never know until you test the waters on the phone. Unfortunately in this case, you could here the woman on the other end of the line turning red as soon as it mentioned that we were returning a call from a pole dancing company.

“God no! No one here would be calling you at 8 in the morning for pole dancing, how dare you….there must be something wrong w/ your phone system”.

That’s right my dear. Our phone system is apparently not in full working order, it doesn’t take calls, record where they’re coming from, voicemail never works….but we keep doing biz w/ them.

C’mon!!!! What I’ve realized is there is the haters and then the lovers. But one thing is for certain: Every time a new pole dancing website, blog, company, Oprah, whomever….every time they want to mention pole dancing is for fitness.

Has everyone been living under a rock for the past few years. Has it not donned on anyone that pole dance fitness studios are opening everywhere, you friends have taken classes, Oprah has brought it up 8 times! And still many haven’t figured out that it isn’t stripping?

Let’s come up to speed folks. Pole dancing IS great for fitness and good for you both physically and mentally. Stripping is not the same. Just ask any of your pole dancing beginner class attending friends if they had to show a nipple the last time they trained.
