US Pole Dance Federation Competition is Back

The U.S. Pole Dance Federation, which started in 2008, is back again in NYC this year for another round of their pole dance competitions.

I’ve heard good and bad–like the fact that last year no one heard about it and it was on a Wednesday in the middle of the day for 12 dancers.

But here’s more on what’s going down this year:

Demi Moore Gives Daughter Pole Dancing Tips

Well, well. We knew sooner or later that the actress Demi Moore, whom in the 90’s made headlines from her stripper moves for her movie StripTease, has now come of age–and apparently her daughter as well, to the art of pole dance.

Pole dancing tips for daughters probably has made right-wing America wonder–Jeez, what is she thinking–But in reality, giving your daughter pole dancing tips is not too bad of an idea after all.

Why? Well, to keep in shape for starters. Plus isn’t daughter on her way to launching a film making career?

Either way, we’re not the only ones commenting on this. Here’s some more on the Demi Moore teaching daughter pole dancing tips from our fellow bloggers:

HBO’s Entourage & All Star Stages Portable Dance Pole

The Hollywood Sign as it appears from a trail ...

Last week HBO’s Entourage and All Star Stages (that’s us!) teamed up in Hollywood to shoot the advertising promo for the next season of the Emmy nominated T.V. Show.

Adding a 9’4″ portable dance pole complete w/ 5×5 ft. octagon stage into the promo, which featured a 6′ tall miniature of the Hollywood sign, was shot on a sound stage in the city’s Gower district.

Entourage, which goes into season 7 this year is finally hoping for that Emmy that only Jeremy Piven has walked with in past years.

As soooo many shows we’ve seen in the last couple of years are now adding pole dancing, and more stripper pole type content, and with all the talk last month about pole dancing being in the Olympics; maybe it’s time for these shows to introduce what should be normal to us–at least it’s normal to the Europeans.

Unfortunately we probably won’t get a positive look on “pole dancing” in the shows season–I would about bet that we will see more of the stripper side of the art in coming episodes.

No worries though. Little by little All Star Stages keeps landing upon t.v. show after t.v. show and spots on blockbusters like “The Green Hornet” due out December 2010.

All Star Stages appeared previously in episodes of House on Fox, Snoop Dogg Dogg After Dark, Paris Hilton My New BFF, MTV’s The Real World and recently also shot a Bone Thugs and Harmony music video and holds quite a long rap sheet of entertainment you watch regularly.

If interested in renting a stripper pole for your next party or production event, All Star Stages, available in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York mainly can be obtained HERE or call 800.983.6640

All Star Stages includes all setup, delivery, and return pickup.

Oh, and make sure you watch Entourage season 7 on HBO!

Celebrity Golf Tournament and Stripper Poles

Tenth Hole Monarch Golf Resort Dana Point, CA

Tenth Hole Monarch Golf Resort Dana Point, CA

Last weekend All Star Stages delivered a portable dance pole and stage to the 10 hole of Monarch Resort Golf Course in Dana Point for the annual celebrity golf tournament next door to the St. Regis Hotel.

On behalf of Neuro-Gasm energy drink, a d.j., stripper pole on the green and plenty of vodka, the day turned out to be as beautiful as ever.

Although slightly chilly after 3pm when the wind picked up a tad–the mad blast of celeb athletes who’s names won’t appear here enjoyed the likes of the professional pole dancer hired to –well–keep the concentration elsewhere than on the fairway.

As part of All Star Stages regular schedule, you can see them all over Los Angeles, Miami, New York and even in Cleveland, OH sporting their portable pole dance apparatus that makes heads turn.

From the California Science Center to the Marines of San Diego and more recently on a Spaceship w/ Puddle of Mudd or in the promo of HBO’s Entourage–if you missed them last season on House… Well, just keep your eyes out cause many high end parties and NYC hot spots use the All Star Stages portable stripper pole to ignite their events.

You too can have them for your private event by contacting All Star Stages at 800.983.6640 or just CLICK HERE.

…complete w/ delivery, setup, and return pickup. No ceiling required, holds up to 8 adults.

No Pole Dancing at the Grammy’s?

If you saw last night’s Grammy Awards you may have noticed over the 3+ hour event that there wasn’t any pole dancing!

We saw outrageous outfits, Gaga this & Gaga that, Pink pulled off a Cirque bit–but no pole dancing.

Isn’t the art of pole dance on every celebs brain right now? Hasn’t pole fitness spiked interest into Oprah, 8 shows worth? Does Brooke Hogan and Miley Cyrus spring life into the tabloids and TMZ–keeping parents pissed that their young ones would want to “stripper pole dance”?

To me, I figure that the Grammy’s are notorious for being edgy and pushing the envelope–but for as outrageous as the show was, unfortunately the art of pole dance didn’t get a nod.

I believe it’s time to see this regularly on American television as we are 2-3 years behind Europe when it comes to the popularity of pole dance. Maybe if we weren’t so crude….or uneducated, we’d see more people accept an art that is simply not stripping.

We can only hope that it will reach the Olympics soon and get the cred it really deserves. What do you think?

And as for the Grammy’s…well, better luck next year–
